Kinsale

#1 Post by Its Ofishal »

Sorry about the delay but I managed to get out off Kinsale early last week for a couple of days. First day found mackerel quick enough and headed out 12-15 miles, drifted for the day with a good slick going and when we were pulling in the rubby dubby bags we saw and caught the one and only blue for the day but not so bad cos if you get your target fish every day fishing could get a bit boring. The second day stayed in closer and got quite a few different species including ray, pollock, coalie, mack and usual dogs. This weekend off to Killybegs so I hope to post next week.

Did you manage the new species of ray or was it all thornies?

Thornies Im afraid but if I have time next Monday in Killybegs I will try for them on a mark given to me on this site, so fingers crossed. Im going for blues if I get mackerel up there cos the last day after 4 hours I only had 3 and if its still the same I will be fishing a few bays for species.
