Hey Lads,
I fish from a Dinghy, 3.3m, need a new anchor since I sold my old one last year that I used for Kayak fishing.
Deepest spots are 50m, never fish in strong wind since I am limited with the small boat.
Is a Bruce anchor 2.5kg enough - I will also put a few ft heavy anchor chain on it?
Fishing between Galway Bay and Aran Islands.
2.5kg anchor for 3.3m Dinghy around Galway heavy enough?

Sounds like that should be enough. we have a 5kg anchor for 17ft boat, with your bit of chain it should do grandfiretiger7 wrote:Hey Lads,

What length rope are you using? I think that's going to play a role too

It will do fine. The chain will help.

Thanks guys! I will be using at least 120m of rope.
