What tides fish best?

#1 Post by Fisherman461 »

Hi all, myself I am from the youghal area and was wondering what tides fish the best in the area. Or even generally what tides bring in more bass.

What state of the tide a mark fishes best can be very mark specific. Best to try different times to suss your mark out, I personally would start with 2 hours up to high tide and 1 hour after, if that didn't produce after a few sessions I would try 1 hour down to low tide until 2 hours after. Also I have noticed and have read on many occassion that the bass are more active in the lead up to and the days following a spring tide.

Thanks for the advice, very helpful! As I don’t get the chance to have many fishing trips I try to have the conditions as much in my favour as possible.
