Good Pliers for crimping and cuting traces

#3 Post by Esox lunatic »

I'm too late to look at the fishing gear thisweek, but I bought one of the bite detectors and bank stick combos last year and it has served very well for pike fishing.

I bought two pairs of good quality pliers in Lidl yesterday that are ideal for crimping, making and cutting traces.

Yellow & Black chunky handles. Carry the label 'S+K' and a German quality marking.

They cost only £1.99 each up North (not sure what they are going for in the Rep. of Ireland. Long Nose Pliers (200mm) and diagonal cutting pliers (160mm).

They are ideal for making pike traces (I know this is a sea fishing site but I'm sure there area a few sea anglers who go winter piking)

might not be wise to use the rod for pollock and bass. first decent pollock will break it. It is more suited to small wild trout. Is the equivilent of using ur plugging rod for conger or shark

Picked up one of those little telescopic tripods for €9.99. Not too bad, wouldn't use it on the beach but wanted something small and light for hiking to far away rock marks during the summer. Fit's the bill perfectly

Dead right Liamo, small telescopic rest is perfick for the rocks, useless for the beach. small/lightweight, made for the rocks.
