Hi Keith. Black Head can be fun if things go well. Pollock close in on lures and feathers. Mac in the summer. The odd wrasse will show up. The occasional dab or flounder, dogs and the usual suspects. Fanore is a lovely beach but I have never fished it. I'm there during the summer when you will find me in the water myself pretending that I can surf. You might be on to a good thing in late May before it gets really busy. Good luck!

IF you are planning on fishing the bottom at blackhead - have a good cast or lots of lead and rigs

you will be driven mad during daylight on fanore - fish it after 8 in the evening when the crowds have thinned out
