North Dublin Rock Mark 10.05.2021

#1 Post by Gonzo »

When: 10/05/2021
Where: North Dublin (trying a new rock mark)
Who: Myself
Duration: 21:00-23:30
High Water: 00:00
Equipment: 13ft bass rod, and 15ft surf rod both using pennel pulley rigs.
My Bait: Peeler Crab & ragworm
Conditions: Southerly warm air and good surf
Result: 1 flounder

Went out to use up some left over bait from the weekend and thought I'd try a new mark I've been eyeing up on maps, rocky spot with access to deepish water. Had a decent flounder on the first cast and a few knocks but no hookups for the rest of the session.

Decent flounder. Was out the night before expecting bass but only a small flounder and a Whiting. Was looking up the water temp for Dublin and it was 10 degrees the week a few bass were caught but since it has dropped to 9. I was wondering is that why we got none the last 2 times

It's funny how the fishing dies off, I've had 3 blanks in a row now  I think there's gonna be some good fishing to be had this coming week with the full moon though! Water temps back up to 11 degrees too!
