North Wicklow beach

Tried a north Wicklow beach today, was hoping for a plaice, I didn’t get any conditions were difficult enough, windy, big breakers crashing on the beach and a rip dragging the leads.
Had a couple of flounders first then noticed a slack line and start reeling in, fish on and I have to say it gave a great scrap, was worried I’d lose him the breakers but managed to land him, a lovely bass just shy of 60cms, hit the road after that a happy man.
