Equipment: 13ft bass rod with 3/0 specimen x pulley with size 1 Aberdeen pennel, and 15ft surf rod same rig.
My Bait: Peeler Crab
Conditions: Calm night, almost no wind, few days after full moon.
Result: 2 dogfish, 2 smoothhound (82cm and 85cm my new shore PB)

Back again to my new favorite spot, I was out there last night as well but the conditions were so bad I had to leave after 30 mins, the weed was ripping my 6oz grippers out in seconds, so I went back tonight with the bait I never used and it was much better, I had bait in the water 3 minutes and I was onto a fish, hadn't even finished baiting up the other rod but reeled in a chunky 82cm smooth hound! So got the second rod out and while re-baiting the first rod the second rod was popping off, turned out to be a small dogfish and after I got him back I finally got both rods fishing things went quiet for about 40 minutes before I got another dogfish and then right on my last crab I got another smoothy, 85cm my new shore PB

Your on a catching streak Gonz, ya can have a go at shore tope in the next few weeks.
There was a decent tope taken from that area your fishing a couple of years ago and a few pup tope do be mixed through the hounds.
Keep her lit.

Cheers, yeah a guy I was talking to down there the other week was telling me there's tope possible at that spot alright, what would be the best bait for them? mackerel? or would they take crab baits?

Had a nice pup on crab there, fresh mackerel for the bigger fish would be my choice of baits.

I was at the spot alright but had no bass only 2 small flounders!
