Mayo storm beach 18.04.21

#1 Post by saving private brian »

Hi all

Managed to get out today for a few hours.. First part of the day while rain was moving away was checking out new marks for the summer.

Then down to business.. fished the all ready droping tide from 11.30am till 15.00pm

Heavy swells outside were causing washes coming in heavy up on to the beach along with a stiff enough south wind..
However did not stop the fish biting.

Managed about a dozen good plump beefy, hard fighting flounders
Few small turbot showed up aswell.
Fished best around the middle of the falling tide. Down nearer to the low it got quieter so it was time to called it a day

Nice to see fish showing up on the beaches again taking macks, sandeels and prawns.

Cheers
Brian
