Sea and Freshwater fishing East Cork

Just looking for any advice on fishing in east cork. Both saltwater and freshwater preferably spinning.

BASS 2021
Please note that the regulations for March to December of 2021 have not yet been set.

1 January to 28 February, only catch-and-release fishing
1 to 31 March – 2 fish bag limit. A minimum size limit of 42cm applies.

Beware of the sea and dodgy weather forecasts.

You best option is to get out on the big spring tides and walk different parts of the shoreline.
Use you phone to take pictures of the rock formation looking at the different gullies and depth of water. Even use the video on the phone with a voice over to help remember what you see of interest.

Use google earth to zoom into different spot on the coastline. Use the clock option on the top menu to look at the map in a different time period as some will give a better view than others.

Wrasse and pollack will mainly be found on rocky ground while bass like a bit of sand between the gullies.
If you're new to the game be ready to lose a lot of gear so buy cheap to start off with.
Fishing the gullies is the safest place to be for bass until you get the hang of things.

If you are going after wrasse or pollack with a spinner bring a sea float and a few rag and maddies great for saving the blank.

Just my approach, use a lure that you can work fast in the water, that way you can cover more ground, when you find one there are generally more so you can play with your lures then.
