Equipment: 15ft surf rod and 11ft bass rod, pennel pulley rigs with 4/0 offset main hook & 1/0 circle hook pennels.
Bait: Black Lug, Squid and Mackerel.
Conditions: Storm Bella was picking up towards the end of my session, very gusty.
Result: 1 Dab.
Went to Greystones south beach today to try for codling with black wraps and squid on one rod then half mackerel fillets on the other rod. After a few casts I went to check my bait on the mackerel rod to find a nice little dab trying to eat a bait as big as himself
hooked on the 4/0 too which I thought was gas. After that I'd nothing else and packed it in as Storm Bella started picking up and the rain was coming. Definitely will be back, very nice beach to fish!
