Strange old book

#1 Post by corbyeire »

I remember a thread or two about old books - which were definitely sea based - an elderly relative gave me this book recently - all river based - but a real eccentric read
Water Symphony: Fishing with a Camera. By HE Towner Coston.
Its from the late 40s

Most of the pictures are terrible by todays standards, but the author spent years getting some of the out of focus shots to match his interesting prose
Literally he had fished these stretches and seen fish and flora and fauna doing various things over the years and wanted a picture of it

just wondering if any others on here ever read it or heard of it

there is a glued in picture on the inside cover page with a man fishing on a river bank - wonder was it an after thought to put that picture in there, possibly of the author :?:
