When: 03/07/2020
Where: Portrane Cliffs
Duration: 21:00-23:00
High Water: 22:51
Equipment: 11ft Daiwa bass rod with Shimano 4000 Reel
Bait/Rig: Sabiki feathers for mackerel.
Conditions: Overcast and a slight rolling swell.
Result: A pollock
Headed down to Portrane cliffs to try see if there is any mackerel knocking about, managed to get 1 small pollock on a reef about 30 meters out within the first 20 minutes and then nothing else, first time I've actually caught something down here, I'd say it'll be great for mackerel in August/September.

Mackerel very hit and miss down there. Tried a lot over the years . Only ever caught once . Better heading to Skerries or down to Howth imo . Well done on the pollock
