Rogerstown Estuary 28.04.2020

#1 Post by Gonzo »

When: 28/04/2020
Where: Walking up and down the estuary from the mouth in.
Duration: 18:00-20:30
Low Water: 21:27
Lures: Floating minnow lure, sidewinder bloodhead, dexter wedge spinner
Result: Another blank

Went to Rogerstown estuary for yet another crack at it with my lures and spinners, was one other guy there using a floating lure, had a quick chat with him and he said he doesn't fish there often so I wished him luck and got on with it. Fished for about 2 and half hours before the cold wind got to me and I packed it in. I did see some small bait fish in the water at one point which got my hopes up. I think the best time to fish this mark is into dusk on a rising tide.
2025 shore species: Bass (1), Dogfish (1), Flounder (4), Whiting (4)
2025 hours fishing on shore: 40

It's not from lack of trying anyway.
Gonna try for flounder again.
Probably Sunday
