Hi Richie

Ballyreen is not far, it being in North Clare as well, do a search on this and pop off a few PMs to the people who have fished it ...

FWIW
Kieran Hanrahan

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...

2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks

some big pollack to be caught off Ballyreen.. and good chance of ray...

what i usully do when fishing there is use my spinning rod with a float and 8-11ft line lenght to the hook with either whole sandeel or strip of mackerel, expect pollack up to 5lbs and over (do the same at night and yu'll really get into some rally big fish).

most baits cast out work well, i,ve found sandeel tipped with mackerel does well for ray, tipped with squid for huss and mackerel for doggies..

try get to low numbers ( 1 - 15) easier access..
