People: me and my dad

Duration: 20.15--23.30

Tide: high 0.30

Weather:dry, mod/fresh easterly

Bait: tube worms[masonery worms],rag,lug,mussels +squid

Rigs: 2 hook clipped down pats+flappers

Results: 4 codling,2 coalies, and 3 whiting


Report:not too bad a night considering an easterly wind blowing,good to see codling of a bigger than usual size for this beach showing up here at this slow time of year

masonry worms

Hi Rab525

Do you catch anything on the masonry worms, tried several times when I dug them up accidentally looking for rag but never been successful?

yeah kieran i;ve had grey gurnards and flats on them from red bay area i usually throw in a few big ones as back up when bait is scarce,we usually dig in the tube beds for white rag as they seem to be of a bigger size when dug here, we get them to the diameter of AAA battery.

no probs adam ,would have give you a shout but it was a last minute decision to fish the bay mate as the wind dictated the mark for us and it was fairly windy
