Tope Co Clare

Well lads, trying to get a tope from the shore this year coming (big ask i know but god loves a trier lol).
I will be trying New quay pier approaching HW supposedly there were runs there going back a couple of years ago.

Just wondering does anyone know any more recent reports of them being caught?

Also when would be the best time to try for them? mid to late may is what ive been reading up on past forums about.
