Ballyliffen beach sun 12 march

People:myself and 6 others

Duration:2pm-7pm

Tide:3 hoursflood, high and start of ebb

Weather: dry , blowy , good surf

Bait:mainly rag , mackerel , sandeel , squid and razorfish

Rigs:mixture of 2 hook clip downs and 3 hook flappers

Results:competition won with 3 flounder by s.scott, second with 1 fllounder - me


Report:only 3 flounder caught the whole afternoon and 1 sea trout
poor enough fishing, but then it is march!
had a look around the area on our way to the beach and there are some cracking looking marks all around it!
will be back to the beach later in the year for a crack at the bass!

You lads are for it now Big Phil. I just ordered a Penn 15ft 3 piece power stix and 525 mag out of Wales. Should be here for weekend. £155 all in. You,ll have to give me leasons on how to get the best out of it. :? :oops:

i may try to help show you the basics but im no great teacher!!
good choice though it should help you improve your distance from that of your present kit.
youll get it christened with a fish at the next competition....promise! :wink: :P
