Sea reels

#1 Post by Woulfec »

Hi lads. Just a question about reels. My misses got me a voucher for fishing tackle Ireland (great store BTW some selection)

Any suggestions on bail arm reels to get? I have 100 to 150 to spend.

Bare in mind I might try get a tope from the shore in June with it and I'm after purchasing a 15.9ft Penn squadron surf rod.

Also Should I just grow a pair and try the multicaster Penn mag 525? Just seem awkward..

Sound for the help much appreciated.

If your uses to using fixed spools stick with them you will have to practice to master using a multiplier as multipliers go the penn 525 mag is as good as you will get they are capable of doing almost any task you ask of it from the shore.. as fixed spools go there are some great models available in your price range look of for some of the shimano Penn and daiwa models akios are also producing some decent reels that don't cost a bomb

Stick with the spool, you can still reach pendulum distance with the right technique .
