Duration:4-7.30pm

Tide:high@6.15pm

Weather:freezing cold, blowing a gale

Bait:rag,mack,squid

Rigs:2 hook pats

Results:banked at ballylumford/about 20 whiting/coalies at portmuck


Report:headed down to islandmagee last night.however,when i arrived at ballylumford the weather turned really nasty.Never fished there before to be honest i don't think i'll be back, too much activity.Headed to portmuck about 6pm just as the light started to fade.A bite a chuck all in the 20cm range

u just fishinh off the pier at portmuck....ballylumford fishes well in the summer for doggies and coalies and the odd conger

i fished the end of the pier Jonny straight out about 50 yards.Nice spot to fish at night very tranquill.maybe a bit quick to rubbish ballylumford,personally if i were to go back it would defo be late evening.Glad to here it fishes well in the summer months.
always fish on the wild side.But hey,lets be careful out there

also heard reports recently thjat good wrasse fishing is to be had here during summer months.......roll on june at least!!! :lol:

At Ballylumford I have only ever caught small Wrasse. The rocks at the back of Portmuck are better for the larger fish, best I have heard is about 4lb but very few people seem to be fishing seriously for them so you never know!
