Porbeagle shark? Skerries harbour
Anyone see the video ,it looks to me like it's a decent size porbeagle at the skerries Yacht club slip

Yip, seen it. But can't distinguish it between a porgy or a basking shark tbh. Is anyone sure which one it is?
Hope they didn't stress it too much either way.

A local fisherman informed me it was a young basking shark..

its a basking shark, look at the dorsal and tail fin, classic pose when filter feeding on the surface. Nice to see one on the east coast.

Not the first on the east coast I have seen them on a regular occasions out off Greystones while fishing for ray on anchor
