The Slate between Ballyhornan and Ardglass

[b]People:[just me]

[b]Duration:[14.00-16.00]

[b]Tide:[ebbing; high tide at 12.40 big spring 5.6m]

[b]Weather:[sunny 6C very light nw breeze]

[b]Bait:[2 packs frozen sand-eel]

[b]Rigs:[deep trolling; 4 foot trace below a drilled bullet]

[b]Results:[9 pollack, most in the 2-3 lb bracket and a coalfish about 1lb]

[b]Report:[Read reports previously about this mark and after a bit of searching I found it. Only took 2 packs of sand-eel but had great sport for a couple of hours. Due to the very big tide the mark was easier to fish as the tide fell away as you could get down on to successive ledges and direct access to the really deep water. Excellent mark.
