went out in a stiff SW with bait over from comp at weekend - luckily the place wasn't weeded out, hadn't tried it in 4 or 5 years
3rd cast a small codling 20cm - then another 17cm
later a couple of coalies same size roughly

nice to get something in the rough seas - reminded me of codling fishing in Waterford estuary and wexford

mad to think you used to be able to catch decent cod in galway bay from the shore up until the 60s - now these tiddlers are a surprise :evil:
