Tope fishing out of Wicklow

#1 Post by ArklowAngler »

I will be going out with a friend on a tope fishing trip with Kit Dunne in a few weeks. Does anyone have any advice on what to expect, what to bring, not to bring etc. ?

Bring heavy weights up to 1lb and a half good wire trace's Kit would normally put you wide with size of tide bring some crab or Rag worm just incase the tope not playing ball you can fish for hounds just as good some prefer to fish for them great fighting fish only thing you have to worry about if weather is good then you should have great day out with Kit hope yeah do.

Thanks for the tips, we will be using his tackle for the tope. I was kind of wondering if it would be alright to bring my own gear to try something different if the tope dont want to play.
