Greystones, 4/06

#1 Post by Richie07 »

Fished rising evening tide with all sorts of sp's, feed shallow, kilty and illex bonnie. Conditions were ideal, water clarity was perfect. Managed to get 1 nice Pollock around the 3lb mark, 1 small sea trout and I hooked something quite substantial, was fighting away and then it was off but there was still something on the end, not that heavy and thought it was weed but I was surprised to see a pipefish of about 1 foot long, foul hooked, new one for me.

Hi Richie, are you sure it wasn't a Launce, I was around there last week with a mate and we foul hooked around 10 of them. Well done on the Pollock we both blanked the day we were there.
