Re: What proper fisheries managment can achieve
Norway and Russia fish half a million tonnes of blue whiting west of ireland each year, Ireland is allocated just over 20 thousand tonnes. They also fish mackerel at shetlands when they aggregate before migrating south each winter. Very little eu boats are allowed to fish norweigan waters a smidgeon of cod etc. They have the best of both worlds, not in the eu but allowed to fish the eu's fish, nice setup.
