Caught today at Currabinny - to say I was surprised is putting it mildly.

 I was out kayaking yesterday morning fishing the fall. there was no real size to them and i was kind of surprised how light in color the markings along their backs were, they didn't have the dark green and black markings id expect.

I've already got itchy feet thinking about Thursday with the breeze coming from the east planning to launch from stradbally and drift back to Dungarvan bottom fishing with baited feathers.

I'm not going to tell a lie- yesterday was the first time I fished there.I fished off the pier- which can be awkward you can't really cast into the channel as there is too much marine traffic. I was just flicking my baits out. As for species-I don't know ! Others might advise.

In winter I would guess you could catch whiting there, they are common throughout the harbour. From now on would like to try the little rocky corner past the pier lure fishing for bass might be worth it.
