Fished saturday 27 feb started at saltmills but too mmany unseen mussel and oyster cages so moved to Bannow island Bait was frozen crab and lug and wraps, Bait came back in same way it went out and some weed also causing problems. Fished last 2 hours of drop and 2 hours of flood . Blank not even a visible bite.
Still nice to get out after a long break. Any advice on the area would be welcome by p.m.

Re: Bannow area
front beach at bannow island facing south would definitely be over highwater and at night - it might serve you well to scout around and figure out where gaps are in the cages - some good fishing to be had in bannow

Re: Bannow area
Saltmills side has lots of cages with signs saying its a designated area for aqua culture. I ve never seen or heard of anyone fishing there but it sure looks like flounder country.
