The Xcast movie.
This was put up before, but a few missed it. Its big, over 125 mb, sound isn't great, but...it might just help explain some things.

Dead swinging attempts... Same file as dead swing diaries.

Its a pretty big file, around 25 megs. Sorry about that, but the original was over 300mb, so i've got it down somewhat.
Here are 2 very short animations to show arc and rod plane.
The first one is looking from the front of the caster, back towards him.
forgive the rusty animation, i'm not pixar studio's.

and the second is viewed as though we have now jumped out to the left hand side of the caster where its nice and safe.

Both are compressed divx AVI's and are small in size.

Interesting style, and Fixed Spool. This guy is casting around the 200 meter mark. Excellent, though different.

I've been through a lot of the posts and videos on Keith's site and there's some good stuff there if you are into casting. Keith's development of the X-Cast is ongoing, but the results so far are good. It looks a bit cumbersome, but the power build up is good. I have his DVD now which gives very good tuition and practices to develop your cast.
If you go to his home page, there's some more good info there.
It gives another element to our sport. You don't have to be a professional caster, but you can develop your cast for fun and see what can be acheived.
