Lowrance HDS 5

My Lowrance HDS 5 GPS fish finder is showing the water temperature incorrectly its showing the temperature at -4 and lower everything else is working fine. I would be grateful for any advice as to the problem.

Not overly familiar with the HDS menu options, but check to see if there is a temperature offset or calibration...

There appears to be a calibration function....

I have used a HDS unit a few times. You have to be amazed at the level of adjustment but in many cases it can be o.t.t. and makes the unit tricky to master.

i have that unit and i *hate* it for the reason jim said, the menus are over complicated
and its difficult to remember how to find things you need. Mine has always shown the temp ok so
dont know the answer to the original question, if you didnt change any settings
maybe a h/w fault?

Lads my buddy sorted the calibration as ye said. Its sorted. Thanks again for the advice much appreciated.
