I'm a bit confused by this Corbyeire. How can there be a maximum of 25 anglers per zone? The All Ireland is an open so why is there restricted entry? I know opens these days aren't producing anything like the numbers of the 90's but it's not beyond the realms of possibility that there could be more than 100 entries.

There is no restrictions in the entries the max 25 per zone might be throwing you off focus

Say an entry of 120 anglers, with the maximum of anglers per zone not to be greater than 25 anglers it could be pegged as i.e. 6 zone of 20, 10 zones of 12 or 5 zones of 24 but could not be pegged 4 zones of 30
as the max number per zone is 25

Hope this makes sense

Need to be a member of an IFSA club or pay €20 (i think) for a festival pass which covers you for the duration of the competition

I was just talking to Joe Byrne. There will be a large attendance and Wexford County Council will be enforcing the beach by-laws.

No vehicles on the beaches

Ragworm are still spawning at this time of year. They should never be dug before the beginning of April but try telling that to anglers/baitdiggers and you're likely to get impaled by a well rusted fork!! It's my personal opinion that with the slightly warmer temperatures we're getting, that the spawning season is lengthening/changing with the result that rag aren't in diggable condition until later in the season.
