Sidewinder weedless minnows

As anyone here tried the latest Sidewinder Weedless Minnow? Look like they be handy for deeper or rough water.

Haven't used them but at 30g and 40g they are extremely heavy for shore work and would most likely bury themselves in the kelp. They've be more suitable for vertical jigging from a boat....and they do look good for that.

would agree with this
they look virtually identical to the fiiish black minnow but at a cheaper price. i've had some great fishing for pollack on such a lure (from boat and through rocky kelp), they are ideal for it
would like to think that the hook stays on the leadhead better than the black minnow's did though!!

Do you think the hook on the Siderwinder is closer to the tail than the Black Minnow?

The hook on the Sidewinder has a long shank, which extends close down to the tail. I think the hook on the Fiiish minnow is closer to the middle of the lure. The Fiiish black minnow problem has put alot of people off them hope its not the same with the Sindwinder time will tell.
