Teelin 3rd February

#1 Post by pete »

People:Myself

Duration:5.00pm to 10.30pm

Tide:Flooding most of the evening

Weather:Calm and overcast

Bait:Blow Lug, frozen black lug, mackerel, sandeel, razorfish

Rigs:2 hook clipped

Results:2 pollock, 2 poor cod, 2 dab, 1 conger, 5 whiting, 3 codling & 1 scorpion fish

Decent session at Teelin but all the fish were small except for one of the pollock which would have made close to 3lb. Lug and mackerel was the most effective and it was necessary to check baits frequently as the crabs were very active. The large whiting that used to frequent this bay are a thing of the past, not surprising when Killybegs is only round the corner.

Cheers Gavin. No great size to anything though, still at least the rod tips were kept jumpin.
