People: Just me

Duration: 1 hour, just after dark

Tide: no idea

Weather: calm after storm

Bait: frozen lug

Rigs: clip down flapper

Results: 1 flounder, 2 Plaice, decent table sizes

I haven't been doing much shore fishing this season after buying a fishing kayak, but i decided to head down to the beach below the Wexford holiday home for a short session last night. I didn't have long as the girl friend could only really entertain herself for a short while. The session was very different for me to be honest. I only fished one rod and held it for most of the time. Used full big lug worms with the excess body pulled back up and whipped on with elastic thread. I fished very close in (maybe 20 feet max) and kept the scent trail fresh with a bit of ground baiting every so often. Anyway i had a very enjoyable little session, had the freshest dinner ever and I learnt a few things that will change my approach to fishing for now on.

Good to see a few fish about considering the heavy rain lately.
I like your tip with wrapping the lug, must try it meself.
