Iridescent effect on lures
Gents, I'm looking to make some lures for bass fishing. What I need to know is how to get the iridescent effect on the lure surface. Is it a clear lacquer with glitter or is there more to it.
Entries now open for the Henry's Tackle Shop All Ireland Shore Smooth Hound Championships on July 18h hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC

Re: Iridescent effect on lures
I made a fee using holographic tape then dipped in clear varnish twice ( dry after each dip )
Try some strips of different colour tape also
They work [emoji1]

Re: Iridescent effect on lures
I just googled ' holographic tape' and it seems to be the way to go alright. I was looking for iridescent paint but the tape and a few cotes of lacquer looks good , thanks for the tip

Got some , ..................not as easy as it looks so I'm still experimenting, I might have to invest in an air brush and compressor.
