can anyone tell me what is the best fly set up for bass???

hi
the norm would b a 9ft rod aftm 8/9
floating line.
cheap large arbour reel, maybe an eco disk, or the airframe ones.
leader can be as simple as 15lb mono as long as the wind will allow. about 9 ft r so would be normal.
all you need for flies are a few decievers and a few clousers.
a line tray is essential
after that everything else is a luxuary

cheers for that liam, its hard to know where to start.
want to get into fly fishing for bass this season.

why not start with pollock ? everything is the same except they r easier

cheers liam, i will give it a try and let you know how i get on.
i found an area with a warm water outlet from a power station
and you can see tons of young bass on the surface, so i can practice on them all the fish seem to be on or around the two pound mark....
