Arklow South beach

Duration:1830-2315

Tide:High around 2200

Weather:Cold and windless

Bait:Lug, squid, sand eel, Mackerel

Rigs:2 hook flapper and clipdown

Results:Dogs,lots of small whiting and a couple of dabs.


Report: A very calm night with no wind. Small fish were very active and baits were stripped quickly. Fish were caught all through the session. Nothing to get excited about but an enjoyable evening.

Aye. We'd pay good money to catch a doggie up here these days. I've seen many a match won with less. :lol: Been considering getting the next one I catch stuffed and bringing it to all the comps... :lol: :lol: :lol:

Dont get me wrong, I'm not complaining I too have had far worse days and I'm sure there are many in the future, As someone else says A bad day fishing is better than a good days work.

ayyyeee, :wink: never was a truer word said than that!!!! I', just wish there was a period of rough Irish weather to shake the seabed and everything else, up a bit!! and bring the bigger mammmaa's in!! :P
