Report: Well..... First time on Ennereilly. Great reports, great expectations..HOWEVER, arrived on what I thought was North Beach having previously spoken to very nice gentleman who was getting into a Coast Guard Jeep '' s'xcuse me'' , could you point me in the direction of North Beach Enerielly please ? He replies...eh? North Beach ? Yes ,I continue ... North Beach. '' By the way, which one of those large land masses to your rear is Mizen Head ? ..Oh that's her ..yep , thats her there... what you need is the ''lower Car Park''. ( Not too impressed with the great Mizen Head btw... thought 'she might have bin the bigger of the two land masses in view ) Great says I , where might I find that ? ''Straight on, ya can't miss her''. Great thinks I...off we head. Still not quite sure of my bearings.. even after paying four euros for car park that had signs of broken glass on-site ( sure sign of someone's window having been put in ) Myself and Joe approach the Life Guard station. ''; s'xcuse me Miss...'' Is this North Beach Ennereilly ?...''Hmmmm? .. not sure if this is ''North Beach as such''. '' I see, have you seen people fishing here before?'' I have'' she says they always head up there'' pointing to my immediate left. Great thinks I..'' RIGHT JOE GET THE GEAR WE'RE IN THE RIGHT SPOT ! We gear up... we trudge through the throngs of people enjoying the weather. Off we head , none the less ( we look like aliens! Tackle boxes, Rod Stands etc ) We set up , we cast out... we wait.
I throw everything I have at this mark.. I mean everything... two rods.. one ''in one 'out'Flappers, up and overs . Over the session two 12 inch Tope. Dammit I think '' Im in a nursery.. no fish here'' Every 5 mins I am amazed at people who insist on walking in front of rods ( I don't normally fish during daylight hours) Dogs off leads sniffing around as dogs do. I politley ''move them on..''careful Miss, there are hooks here''. Finally I hear ' ha ha don't worry'' he must be after your bait''... Yep , before I know it , there's a small ''Collie Cross' charging through the rod rest..eh'' Miss, there are Hooks''....yelp , yelp, yelp, howl, howl,

! Not the usual LSD kind.. nope this is pure mutt Given that I was trying out my new bait table.. 
I had a scissors to hand and was able to almost immediatly put my hand to a bait scissors and snip the baited snood from my trace body to Dogs gob! 9 won't lose the whole trace so 
Anyway...the drama unfolds... the poor mutt 2was hooked through her tongue, just on the edge...blood everywhere..on her chest, the lady's leg, the sand... at this stage people are crowding around like it's a murder 
In fairness, the owner says'' how are you going to get that out''? Hmmm I says '' Joe.. have you got a pliers? God love her, I really thought she would pass out at that point. The poor mutt , God love her was licking her mouth like mad and somehow managed to 'flick' the small 1/0 from her tongue. ( just as well it wasn't bigger) All ended well , if you count 2 x 12 inch Tope as a result. On leaving our mark I met two lads heading in our direction with fly rods. '' On the fly lads? I inquire..yep'' says the lads, that spot terrible for bait fishin'', ya want to head up towards Mizen Head.... and that might be? I inquire.. ''To your RIGHT there'' says he..Oh says I '' the Right... '' Joe...Joe..ya'll never guess what

So....at the risk of sounding like a complete Gob****e. Where ... in relation to the 'Lower car Park'' that we were directed to....is the great and Mysterious Ennereilly?............( If it actually exsists at all )
