People: Me, Skelly and Hullo

Duration: 8pm - 6am

Tide: High at 3am

Weather: Dry and calm evening. Glorious morning.

Bait: Crab, Lug and Mack

Rigs: Pulleys and Flappers

Results: Codling, Bass, Dogfish, Whiting, Dab, Flounder, Tub Gurnard, Tope, Smoothound

Report:
Great little summer session. Weather was a lot better than expected with no showers and very little wind. Fished a mark that has been kind to us before and is like a lucky dip as you never know what its gonna throw up. Fish from the off with Skell getting a nice hound and Hullo landing a nice schoolie Bass. I start hitting some Codling in close. Went a bit quiet after and hour or so with a few fish here and there. Picked up again with some Dogs and Whiting and quiet again. Just a little after high water as the bed was calling and the beer was non existant the fish start biting again. Skelly had just got into his tent when me and Hullo both landed some nice Hounds. Needless to say he shot out like a light and got the rods out. The tiredness had left us and we fished on for another few hours and hit the hay. After a few hours kip I awoke to a beautiful morning. Skell was already fishing. I opted for a quick dip in the water before I got the rigs back out. All in all a great session with some nice fish to boot.

Nice fishing. Love to catch a hound from the shore.
If the Bass went back its best to try to support the fish with your other hand if poss as hanging like that can do unnecessary damage to the fish.
