People: North Louth Sea Anglers club outing
Duration: 5 hours
Tide: High at around 2PM, 4.6m (big)
Weather: F2-3, sunny
Bait:Rag & artificials
Rigs: Mix
Results: We fished outside the Hellehunter for a couple of hours, came inside it for another couple of hours and finished up over the Connemara. Plenty of small cod, pollock & wrasse, a handful of mackerel and a few bits & pieces (tiny gurnard, sea scorpion, etc.). We hit into some larger pollock over the Connemara wreck, biggest probably 4-5lbs, and one pretty big ballan wrasse of around 7lbs (yes, a biggie).
Species 2022: Halibut, Coalfish, Cod, Haddock, Pollack, Whiting, Mackerel, Wolffish, Redfish, Torsk
