Report:Quick report from the weekend i towed Imelda down to kilmore for a bit of a change of scenery and a few edible fish this was my first time going down this year, from the start we were into fish, pollack and codling were the main attraction tons of them but nothing over 3lb or so, no great quality but the quantity made up for that. we were also picking up other species good few ballans coming aboard, early into the day i had a cracker of a bite which turned out to be a fine ballan wrasse that when weighed on the boat came in at just over 5lb and 51.5cm long another specimen sized fish returned alive for myself made the trip well worth while 8) not a mackerel to be seen for 10 hours fishing not looking very good but on the plus side there was a lot of launce to keep us going in fresh bait. it wont be long before im back down for more and hopefully the macks will be there aswell :)
