Wicklow tope

Duration:

Tide: up to hw and back down for two hours

Weather: fine

Bait: mackeral

Rigs: wire 6/0 pennell

Results: One tope plenty of dogs

Cracker of a tope, have tried off that beach twice but weed was a nightmare both times! Will have to give it another bash now, fair play for doing all the hard work on your own!

Any tips on hopw to cast a full mackeral on a 6/o hook out ? What sort of distance were you out?

No need to be far out!!! if there around they will come in close . I say I was 20 meters out. I used a14 foot rod fixed spool reel . Keep at it good luck !!!
