killiney 7/6/14

#1 Post by Grumpy Angler »

People:just me

Duration:5:30-10pm

Tide:7:30 ish

Weather:windy,dry sunny

Bait:peelers,rag,squid,lug,macs.

Rigs:pulley,flappers,3 hook wessex

Results:__ all

got up early,my first day off in 10 days.dug some beautiful lug and some killer rag in sutton.even managed to get some peelers.i bought some frozen peelers from rorys yesterday but they were only half the size of the ones i got fresh. was supposed to fish off poolbeg lighthouse but plans were changed and started late.the missis taking the kids to clara in the car meant it was the dart for me so i headed off to killiney. i set me rod up with a large crab bait mixed with some beautiful rags and got sod all.i spent the next 4 hours mixing my baits and changing spots on the beach, but to no avail...maybe i should sacrifice one of my kids to posidion???? three lads fishing beside the car park didn't have much luck either but were very happy to get a couple of dozen rag and lug and a fresh squid and a mackeral from me as i headed off to go home and get rat arsed. better luck next time eh?

Hard luck man, killiney usually throws up a few fish.
Poolbeg should fish well this week with the evening tides.
