little killary

#1 Post by s50touring »

People:myself

Duration:3-5 pm

Tide:

Weather: overcast

Bait: sandeel and mack

Rigs: bomber

Results: 12 dogs 1 tb ray and and my first huss I think

Report: headed out for a few hours fishing, I tried a mark around clifden first to no avail so I headed for killary, I only really went out to try out my new zippy and akois 656. First cast on the zippy I had a doggie second cast I seen the doggie nod in the rod tip I said id leave it for a minute to try and get a double and then there was a big bang so I reeled in with a nice bend on my profile to find a doggie and a tb very pleased with the new combo to say the least

I had a few more doggies on both rods when I seen my dawia rod nearly go into the water ran straght over and reeled in what felt like a nice fish I think I got my first huss someone here will be able to confirm

All in all had a great few hours fishing really love fishing killary and love my first zippy even more

That's some gap in your rod joint that's asking for a cracked joint

The rod is very stiff putting together, and I can see the wear marks from the previous owner and it has never gone together farther then that

Delighted I got a huss:)
