Report:
went looking for smoothies and saw 2 caught early in the evening.
spent the evening feeding whiting with our crab and decided to head back upthe wall at full tide. Had 1 last cast rear where we parked and in 10 seconds hit a ray. First one ever so nice touch. No idea how to put a pic up from my phone btw. . Was about 6 lb i was told but had no scales.

Nice fish ken I went down the next night and got 2 dogs only seen 1 hound taken out 5 lb got by a few asian lads

Well done with the Ray, 6lb is a tidy fish.
The smoothies seem to be slow to get going this year.

Its great to see ray back in the bay, havent been ray caught there for years and now theres about 5 I heard of in a month....

Was there Wednesday too. We blanked and i think 3hounds were caught at the end of the wall. Again early in the tide. A couple more weeks maybe ?

We've had them on the boat anchored between half moon and lighthouse on bay side about 200 yards from pier wall. Up to 15lbs. They are back alright :-)

Didn't manage to get down on sat night,got down on sunday about 1:30 and stayed 'til 7. Set up about half way up beside the little huts. Was using crabs/macs/rag and squid in diffrent combos.caught nothing-a few other lads came and went but nobody was catching anything.went home soaking wet-but i'll be back Gurrrr!
