Tide:rising

Weather:cold and bright

Report:hit the same spot again this morning lads and bang on high tide I hit into this beauty on a feed shallow.the fish gave me a epic battle one that I won't forget it in a hurry which involved me rock hopping a bit.it was also a bad day in a way coz I deep hooked the fish which caused a lot of bleeding and no release which I'm still quite guilty over.on the way home I weighed the fish in my local butcher as I do not have a scales it came in at 11.5lbs.it will be a day I will never forget both good and bad and something tells me it's a week I won't have for quite some time again.

That is a dream fish catcher! Well Done! Its is a pity the fish didnt survive the encounter but I have to echo what sparks said also, the fish had a long and no doubt productive life and is heartening to see anglers of your kaliber being as conservation minded as yourself.

Awesome fish there lad, well done; although the smaller Bass around the 40 cm mark are far better eating.
Big female stock fish like that are priceless in terms conservation; when it come to the future of our sport

Fish of a lifetime well done 8) What im more in awe of is the fact that a bass of that size still existed in that area considering the amount of fulltime illegal netting that goes on along that stretch of coastline.Well done and enjoy the moment :)
