People:
me and my mate
Duration: 3 hours tide out

Tide: out still running off

Weather: calm dry overcast

Bait: mackeral squid sandeel

Rigs: wessex rig

Results: dogfish and thornback rays

headed out for the firsrt ray trip of the seson , nice 10 degree day light winds tide running off

usual story two rods out in the middle of the channel off a mark i usually fish off and inside the first hour we had 5 dogfish between us all on sandeel baits

as the tide turned and started pushing us up the beach it was time to try the marina and after about 40 mins of nothing my large bait of sandeel wrapped in squid was taken by a nice wee ray

all in all a good day and good to see the fish in nice and early this year

The other side as in inch ? I always thoight the idea was to fish into the deep channel from the fahan beach at low tide? A lot of sand bars and shallow areas on the far side
