People: me fein

Duration: 3.5hrs

Tide: high 20.30

Weather: windy but out of it, sheltered

Bait: frozen lug, mac, razor, crab

Rigs: 3 hook flap, 2 hook clipped

Results: 5 flounder, biggest 25cm!

Report: wanted to go after minis for the species hunt. the old accuweather said the wind would have died down by 5, but that was not the case. headed to pier/cove and no way could i stand on the boulders - alternative needed

went looking for the beach and got lost this day last week! but knew where i was going this time. the sand had managed to stay on this beach and it wasnt a lunar landscape like the rest of the coast. nice surf breaking even if there was a very dark colour to the water. first cast a double of flounder - with weed attached. then next cast a single. no interest on the bigger baits further out. the weed wasnt bad but when in it, it was a stalk and could move the bait.
kept at it and got another single slightly bigger and then the biggest lad further out on three lug intended for a silver fella.

not amazing, not awful results but pleasant fishing out of the wind on a thursday evening to forget about work for a few hours :)

i said it above - the water was very dark soup - with sprigs of weed in it

right in the heel of wexford - id doubt youd have much joy with the lure now until the winds ease off for a good stretch and some of the sand begins to settle back where it came from
