open competitions????

#1 Post by SaltOnlyAngler »

I'm fishing the leinster league open competition on 22 March. it's my second competition and first open competition. can somebody tell me what's going to happen, what I'll need and are there any bait restrictions. I am also a junior so is the cost €10?

Bait restrictions and entry details here
http://www.sea-angling-ireland.org/bull ... 24&t=45552

This is a pre entry competition so you will have to have your entry fee paid before the closing date. This may have to be done through your club secretary.

Check-in on the day is between 13:30 and 15:30 so be on time.

At the check-in you will draw a peg number that you will have to fish from. Find out where the peg location is.
Don't be afraid to ask questions 99.9% of the anglers will be happy to help you out. If there are other members of your club fishing go to one of them first.

After that enjoy the day.

Bring 6 that should see you through it with 3 size four hooks on each trace. there should be plenty of whiting still about for this comp so most baits will work. ask the organisers about double pegs as well. sometimes they will let a junior double peg with a senior in the same club.
