Ballycreannan/Ballywilling East Cork 15 Jan 2006

#1 Post by drseafish »

People:6 of us plus some guys fishing a Ballycotton shore comp

Duration:4.00 pm to 8.30pm

Tide: 4.0M full tide 6.00 pm

Weather: Strong onshore. Fishing is rough seas, a little to big for comfort.

Bait:lug, mackarel, crab, razor and squid

Rigs:Lots but 2 hook up and booms seem to catch for those around me.

Results: 41, 32 & 37cm codling one dog 71cm. One coalie (~30cm). Very poor considering we had such good bait. We thought the calm between 2 storms would throw up some fish but it was still very rough for comfort. Most of us fished either close to the road at either Ballycreannan or Balliwilling
